About Apex Window

An Adelaide window and door business, based at Dry Creek, working across metropolitan and regional South Australia.

Who we are

Windows Done Right isn't just a line

Most window complaints don't come from the window. They come from a measure that was rushed, a glass spec chosen on price alone, or an install where nobody took responsibility for the gap between the frame and the wall.

We handle all three ourselves. The person who measures your openings writes the quote, the units are made to those measurements, and our own installers fit them. If something needs adjusting afterwards, you call the same number.

It's a straightforward way to run a window business, and it's the reason we can quote a fixed price and hold it.

How we work

Four things we won't do

Quote off a plan

Plans and reality differ, especially in older homes. We measure the opening that exists before anything is manufactured.

Upsell glass you don't need

Double glazing on a shaded south wall is money spent for very little. We'll say so, even when it costs us the sale.

Leave your house open

Replacement work is sequenced opening by opening. Nothing stays out overnight, and the site is cleared before we go.

Disappear after install

Frames settle and hardware needs adjusting. Call us and we'll come back and sort it.

Standards

Made to the Australian rules

Windows and doors in Australian buildings are governed by a set of standards that cover how they perform in wind, how they resist water, and where safety glass has to be used. We supply to those standards and we'll tell you which ones apply to your job.

  • AS 2047 Windows and external glazed doors in buildings — the standard covering wind resistance, water penetration and air infiltration.
  • AS 1288 Glass in buildings — sets where toughened or laminated safety glass is required, such as low sills, doors and wet areas.
  • National Construction Code Energy efficiency provisions for new builds and major renovations. We can supply the performance figures your certifier asks for.
